Program

DAY 1

 ARRIVE FARO AIRPORT

 We’ll meet you at the airport and bring you to the Hotel.

 Transfer to Tavira +- 45 minutes

 Free time to explore Tavira and relax.

 7:30 pm Meeting Reception in the Hôtel.

 (The tour leder will welcome you and give a preview of next day's program.)

 8 :00 pm Dinner

 (Dinner at a local Tavira restaurant)

 

 DAY 2

 7:30 am to 8:30 am Breakfast (in the Hotel)

 9:30 am Transfer from the Hotel to the beginning of the day's walk. - a tranquil walk along lovely shaded paths full of flowers and bird song, a chance to observe the local farm life.

 Return transfer to the Hotel from end of the walk

 7:30 pm Meeting in the Hotel.

 (The tour leder will give a preview of the next day's tour.)

 8:00 pm Dinner ( dinner at a local Tavira restaurant)

 

 DAY 3

 7:30 am to 8:30 am Breakfast (in the Hotel)

 9:30 am Transfer from the Hotel to the beginning of the day's walk. - a walk through gentle hills and picturesque hamlets visiting traditional ceramic tile-making workshops

 Return transfer to the Hotel from end of the walk

 7:30 pm Meeting in the Hotel.

 8:00 pm Dinner (Dinner at a local Tavira restaurant)

 

 DAY 4 Free day
 7.30 t0 8.30 am breakfast at the hotel Optional excursions ( not included)

 Boat tour in the lagoon ( Ria formosa) estimated price: 20 euros Pax

 Visit to the eastern Algarve costal area (Mini-bus Tour) estimated price: 20 euros/Pax

 Visit to Faro and shoping tour (Mini-bus Tour) estimated price: 20 euros Pax

 Free time in Old Town: Those who haven't quite got their fill of Tavira's many attractions can take advantage of one more visit to the shops and other sights. Estimated price: Free!

 8pm Dinner at a local restaurant

 DAY 5

 7:30 am to 8:30 am Breakfast (in the Hotel)

 9:30 am Transfer from the Hotel to the beginning of the day's walk. - a coastal walk meandering through orange and lemon orchards with interesting traditional water wells, salt pans full of water birds and traditional fishing.

 Return transfer to the Hotel from end of the walk

 7:30 pm Meeting in the Hotel.

 8 :00 pm Dinner (Dinner at a local Tavira restaurant)

 

 DAY 6

 7:30 am to 8:30 am Breakfast (in the Hotel)

 9:30 am Transfer from the Hotel to the beginning of the day's walk. - a walk in the high hills affording wide, magnificent vistas, babbling streams and orange orchards, a chance to taste the local, freshly squeezed orange juice.

 Return transfer to the Hotel from end of the walk

 7:30 pm Meeting in the Hotel.

 8 :00 pm Dinner (Dinner at a local Tavira restaurant)

 

 DAY 7

 7:30 am to 8:30 am Breakfast (in the Hotel)

 9:30 am Transfer from the Hotel to the beginning of the day's walk. - a walk along a vast, idyllic beach, starting with a scenic boat ride and taking in the lovely fishing village of Santa Luzia and the coastal bird life of the salt pans.

 Return transfer to the Hotel from end of the walk

 7:30 pm Meeting in the Hotel.
